Discrepancy girl
I can't post everyday.. Urgh as seen from the title, I deem it impossible to update everyday because of this inspiration flings I'm having. See, I can't even do my English feature article or my Filipino film review. How procrastination works..
I've been meaning to blog a lot though, and thought of continuing my video blog but alas I haven't had some "me" time for a while. This reminds me of the situation of Jin dorming/staying in a condo at Katipunan starting next week. This is to minimize travel expenses of course. I so want to join her but my parents say that it's too "early" for me and maybe I should reconsider. But I feel for my parents, do you know that we spend 20k a month on gas alone? With 3 cars, that's okay but it's still A LOT! My gosh. Compared to 8k spendings when I stay in a condo, I thought that this was the only option.
But I guess my parents would be very worried and all... my dad's really protective and they're scared for my safety and all, and I guess they don't want to be alone this early. My brother's going to junior term abroad next month up to January so they will be lonely. I guess I should wait now that I think about it.. there's always next year.. =) But I really want to experience being independent and alone. I'll wait for my own junior term abroad.
I watched
The Dark Knight on the openind day. Despite it opening on a Thursday and I had classes the very next day, I still pushed my sched just to see what the hype is all about. Everyone has been raving about and maybe calling it as the "best" comic book movie ever. I wanted to see if it can beat Ironman. And did it? Well Heath Ledger did.
Heath Ledger LIVED in this movie. Please pardon the pun, but he did give life to the movie. Every scene with heath ledger with it was bursting with action, drama and intensity. I don't know if he deserves an oscar nomination, but if there were a best actor for comic book movie history, then Heath would have won it. He's better than Robert Downey Jr (I can't believe I'm saying this) because HE IS JOKER AND JOKER IS HIM. It's philosophy even. He just transformed into this psycho killer who has this fetish for make-up. I really loved his acting and he was SCARY. Certainly a PG-13 film.
But sadly, TDK had its flaws. Bale was too stiff for me in this movie as Batman, I feel as though Heath took too much attention away from Bale in the beginning that I forgot that this was a Batman film and not a Joker film. But he did justice in the end anyways. And the guy who played Harvey Dent was awesome too! But....OMG THE PLOT!! What the heck, it was all in shambles in the later part of the movie. It reminds me of a quote from Mark Kermode of
BBC five live about the problem in comic book movies is that they always run out of steam by the end of the movie and I agree. The ending was simply terrible. I don't want to give anything away, but the way someone died in the end, it just wasn't right. HOW COULD THEY? And even if ___ didn't die, how could they show that scene? Some of the scenes too were waaay over the top and so far-fetch that it wasn't believable anymore. The movie was too long too and they could have ended the movie around 20 minutes less.
Anyway, I loved The Dark Knight but it's not a 10/10 for me. I'll give it a 8.5. Same as themovieblog's. I love Ironman better though.. lolz!! Please don't hit me with rotten tomatoes! Bato bato sa langit and tamaan ay huwag magalit.
On a "real-er" note, it was my one of my best pals, Lourdie's, Birthday bash last Suday! She just turned legal (umiinom na sya!! haha jokez!) It was great seeing past friends again coz how I miss them so!! For some reason, you know that HS friends will stand out among your college friends. These people are the ones who have stuck with you through thick (very very thick) and thin (very very thin) and you have shared OODLES of memories with them. Eating fish with them last Sunday (thanks super lourdie for the treat!) was so relieving coz... I miss them so. College isn't the same but it's a whole new wonderful experience too. I just haven't grasped it much yet.
I'm feeling weird again. Ever since we discussed the poem "Pag-ibig"(meaning love in Filipino dear readers) by Jose Corazon de Jesus, I just can't take something off my mind. If you've noticed, after 4 years of blogging, I've never once talked/discussed about love. Or my lack of it then. I do feel the need to be loved, after all, I am a human being and every human has this psychological thing and always attracted to the notion of love. Why do you think love poems and love stories rule literature? Everything revolves around love: religion, family, my love for blogging, games, wars, death, why everything involves love. Being emo may seem the lack of love, but still, you're inwardly seeking for that impossible thing. I am too. It's just sad that I'm not the type of person who openly shows it, who openly declares it. If i like a person, I'll just keep mum, or stay friendly with that person. How do you show it? How do you show the ultimate feeling? I don't know... Will I ever know?
Love...when will you come? I've got love of family, friends and God.. you know what I'm talking about..
Reminds me of the love this father showed to his disabled son. Watch the video please, I'd really appreciate it. It's really such a wonderful clip. This son you see, asked his dad if they could join the hardest triathlon and the dad agreed. See what the dad did for his son. All for his son.
My Redeemer Lives - Team Hoyt

Shoot em up!
Bang Bang Bang!!
I never knew shooting a rifle could be fun and UBER TIRING!
Yap you heard that right guys, I am part of the trainees who want to join the ADMU's Rifle and Pistol Varsity team. Well I'm not in the team, but I'm aspiring to be. I really don't know why I joined though, maybe because it's the thrill of first holding a rifle, shooting your first target, or maybe just to escape PE and NSTP (not that I don't like both, but it's sort of a free cut to those na! hehee)
So yesterday was our first training/seminar day! As usual Chair and I were late because of me, I forgot why but we were one of the last ones. Haha! So Coach explained to us the basics:handling, parts, and shooting. I was lucky coz I was sort of inserted in the first batch of people who were the first ones to shoot and Coach personally taught me! My first try sitting was this:
Bulls eye!
My first shot was the far one at the lower right and all the rest of my 6 shots were straight in the middle! 6 Bulls eye! I thought it was beginner's luck! haha =)
Here's my second one, 4 shots, I have no idea why it looked like this:
4 shots?? WEH??
I don't exactly like it but I hope I can improve!! We were all standing at this point and were at proper stance. It's quite painful if your'e not a "stretchy" (i am not) since you gotta twist your torso and hold it at a very still position. Your left hand was technically in pain from carrying the rifle properly. I swear, you just don't "hold" a rifle, you gotta know how.
I'll be training up to October and try outs will be next semester! I'll be posting more of my targets in the future! hehee
Sighs.. I was just reminded a while ago of my paternal family's history of impatience and short-temperedness. My dad gets quite easily angry now and he was particularly angry at the computer because it couldn't connect to the internet. Without waiting for our help when we get home (anyway we got home late, around 8pm), my dad suddenly broke into a fury and PUNCHED our dear old desktop and of course... um... it..doesn't..wanna start now... Crap. It's a good thing and a bad thing. We've been meaning to change this old desktop computer because it's like 5-6 years old already and that's old for computers today. And man, there were really a lot of problems so I'm not sad to see it die. And I'm very glad that we've already transferred all our files to our external 1 terabyte hardrive a while back. Nothing was lost, thankfully. Hopefully we'll be getting a new one.
I'm kinda sleepy.. must sleep..
Updates when I update! hehe =)

Touch me not
A blog post right after the very next day!!
Am I forming a 'good' habit? Perhaps.
Or maybe it's just because I'm a very bored kid. My parents are gonna leave me behind, all alone in the house, so maybe I have a chance at video blogging! I'll see what I can do. heehe =)
Today's my FIFTH free cut in PE and it's really, IRRITATING!! I mean this is my only source of exercise from all the studying and the instructor is taking that away from me! Not to mention that our PE tuition has gone to waste... Man, I understood the reason for the first 2 cuts, but this one? He gave us no warning at all. Sighs.. I miss muay thai!
I'm still having LSS from watching
Mamma Mia! I grew up singing 80's, 90's songs and Abba was one of my favorites especially "I Have A Dream" and "Mamma Mia" and "Dancing Queen" of course! I just realized that they have other awesome songs and I'm downloading them all. Again, I was highly amused by Meryl Streep's (OMG SHE WAS CRAZY FUN!) and Pierce Brosnan's and Colin Firth's singing! I loved Meryl's 2 girl costars too! My gosh, i didn't know people above 40 could do what they did! My favorite scene has to be Mamma Mia scene, shucks, and for the first time in years, I heard the audience applause a movie at the end of the credits! GO WATCH IT PEOPLE!!
My gosh, college life has never been this full. I'm booked the whole week and have to go home later than 4:30pm. Tomorrow's supposed to be a half day but since I joined the rifle and pistol team (not yet varsity but I hope i learn and join too! haha) I have to attend this seminar about the basics of rifle handling. I'm excited and pissed at same time coz it had to be in the afternoon. On wednesday, i have to stay up to 6 for my Ateneo Christian Ministry Group Choir GA (yes, finally am part of the choir again!) I can't believe that I'm gonna practice my singing after how many years again. Haha! And every thursday from now on, I have to train using the rifle and I can't wait! Though it sucks to go home at 6pm *whimpers*. Friday, WE'RE GOING TO WATCH DARK KNIGHT! Well my block will and I can't believe that this is our first block outing EVER! whoot! yesh! Then we gotta stay up to 10pm for a Filipino play that we're required to watch. Our filipino professor directed it himself and he was mighty proud of it! I can't wait to watch it though! haha, Friday's gotta be the best day =)
Oh the title's random from a random quote from math class when one of the CoE blockmates suddenly SCREECHED, "DONT.........TOUCH..........MY.................F*******................BAG!!!!!" Lolz, that was said in a LOUD and RANDOM way. We were all shocked. Really. haha!
INTACT was so fun coz we finally had some group dynamics! haha I guess it was more FUN coz we won!! whoop! haha! The game wasn't anything new, the rules were something like arrange your group by ___ without speaking but the fun part was actually doing it! Man, I got to know a LOT of things like how long Poch's arm length is! WHOOA!! haha!! And the consequence by group 1 (Wormy jason! Crazy Ryan!) was hilarious! I think I lost a pound from all the laughing! Haha!~
I'm adjusting nicely to my block and I'm so happy that they're my companions for the whole 4 years. Go block N!! *hugz*
I'm so sorry to my blog sisters for only visiting their sites yesterday. I'm going to make a schedule already, like today, I'll visit Ate Kitty's Ate Scarty's and Ate Jays' blogs or something like that. Well tc now guys! =)

Frustrated
Argh, I'm very frustrated because my 2 attempts at uploading my very first video blog (yes, the shy Tiffany has had the courage lately to show her blah face and speak blahly for more than 5 mins) were all in VAIN! For some reason, youtube nor blogger video is not cooperating with me or maybe it's just a problem with my network connection. Now I think I have to do another video blog all over again but I don't know when. I have to wait until I'm alone of course to talk to you dear readers... If I have any... ='(
Anyway my life's going uphill, downhill, you know, like the cliche, "life's like a rollercoaster". I'm good with my block, had some bad grades, good in some, but basically nothing to report on.
Oh! It was my dear friend Camzee's debut yesterday! I loved the oriental theme and the korean food but I wondered why camzee wasn't in a kimono or something, it would have been cooler but her party was a blast nevertheless! Haha! And for some reason, I loved the hairstyle the hairstylist did on my hair, i think it's suitable but it may just be me. Someone would probably scream when they see this picture:
Lolz, the vain in me is bursting out! lolz
Well summer movies are here and I'm proud to say that I've watched almost all, well not all but anyways, I've recently watched Mamma Mia today and boy, I HAD SO MUCH FUN! Problem is i've only watched it alone (='() because my parents had to do shopping and my brother had to cram a long test or something and my friends all had different schedules so there I was alone. Good thing my seatmates were all loud and were laughing with me too! Really, I soo love Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Amanda Seyfried in the movie!! Aww, if you guys are just in for some feel-good time or when you're down in the dumps, this movie will certainly lift your spirits. ABBA followers wouldn't be disappointed (hey I'm one! haha!)!!! =)
Well Updates when I update! :cool

Queer the 2nd
If I am not mistaken, I think that this is my 2nd post regarding being Queer... not about me... but about how life is becoming crazier and crazier.
Look at this, 50 years ago, Cellphones and the internet (was it even conceptualized yet?) were only real in the ideas and imagination of people. Even travelling to the moon would just be an episode in one of the old X-files movie. Yet here we are ladies and gentlemen at the 10s of the 21st century who are all knowledgeable about stem cell research, apple products (everything with i in front of the word like, iMe or iWhatever) and more innovations that one can possible think of. Even though it is quite beneficial to humankind but I think that technology is a wee bit detrimental to our psychological, sociological and natural state of being.
We just had a debate about sex change and transexuals (I am not against them mind you) yesterday, about it being available to minors and also the recent news about the Fil-Am transvestite who gave birth to a healthy daughter were the rage of discussions. I mean look at society now, it's so different becaus everyone is becoming radical and all think that they are right therefore they just do whatever they want. It's just so different now. Back then, there were only 2 sexes, male and female, but now humanity can be classified to even as much as 5 sexes!! (INMHO). And what about women changing gender who then give birth to kids? I don't know, maybe it's because I'm weirded so much about the fact that I thought the woman was actually a man. If he was really a man, I'd puke if I'd know that he'd given birth because I for one, know that it is only possible in the game THE SIMS and it is between man and alien!! Brr!! Again, I am not against transexuals, it is just me speaking my opinion about it.
I lost my math notebook. And it's 2 days away from the Long Exam, HOW THE HECK AM I SUPPOSED TO REVIEW NOW?? Crap, i think i'll faint... I lost one of the pairs of my Momo earrings... noo! Why is everything going so wrong in my life now? Sighs.. and to think that I am experiencing panic attacks now. If you consider the heavy fast breathing and the feeling that you're gonna die and escape your body is a panic attack, then I had one. Grabe, I hope that I'll be sane after all of this.
My parents and I watched Hancock last Sunday (my brother was MIA again coz of gazillion projects - good thing I still don't have! hehe). It wasn't as good as expected but again, this movie was queer. The concept and storyline would have been great already if it weren't for the "twist" that they put. Dad then said that the plot was ripped off from a Bulaceno provincial tale about angels coming to earth and reproducing but eventually their existence faded away. I think it's a beautiful story. To think that there literally are angels among us.. It would be cool, wouldn't it? hehe.
On a lighter note,
Stephie dear has been given by her cousin a domain! Go visit her scrumptious
site right now!! lolz!
I think I'll go blog again next time, I forgot to say something! URGH! lolz
Updates when I update! =) :cool

Doggy Ate Bone
Our golden retriever Rocky just ate a chicken bone! Contrary to popular comic belief, dogs don't just go biting a chicken bone but they sort of try to chew and eat it as well therefore endangering their lives. It is quite dangerous for them since these bone shards could damage their intestines/stomach. I am so worried for Rocky!! GRR it's that darn brother of mine who doesn't know how to clean himself up therefore leaving chicken bone on the table within Rocky's reach! GREAT DARN IT!!! I don't want to lose another dog.... please let Rocky be safe... please..... Please do pray for him.
And to add to my sorrows is the news that a teacher assistant died around last Sunday and his body was only found yesterday morning at the Ateneo de Manila University. I only heard of it last night and I was really really shocked. To think that I even passed by De La Costa Hall when going to the leong hall for orientation for the debate. Wow.... it's really scary to know that someone died so close.... Grabe... May his soul rest in peace...
Well on the lighter side of things, June 28 marks history for it is the last day of Bill Gates at Microsoft. After years of hard work to establish his 260$ billion company, he is finally going to retire and leave his office. But nevertheless, Bill will still head his charity foundation. I got this news from
Yugatech by the way and they have this nifty little video there about a parody of what Bill's last day would be. It's really HILARIOUS and great CAMEOS! Just watch it and you'll know what I mean.
I've always admired Bill Gates. I mean he made microsoft and who here doesn't have one?? Come on, you have got to have MS word. And Windows, who didn't start with windows here? It's not possible that you started out with Linux. Bill made a great impact to our world especially to mine and I just wanna thank him for that. He has changed how view things in life by enhancing our computer experience. Sure he isn't as creative as Steve Jobs and windows may be virus-filled but it's definitely the most user-friendly. And I admire him too for his great mind. High school dropouts turned successful are always my idols :Bill, Steve, Walt Disney and that guy from pursuit of happiness. These are all great people and I can't believe that Bill is retiring. Well have a good life Mr. Gates, you definitely deserved it! =)
Okay, school hasn't been that cool with me now. I've come to discover that I'm a C+ to B girl. Darn, how am I gonna be in the dean's list (ASA pa ako!) when all the grades I'm getting are all UGH?? People say that I should be contented with that score but the thing is I'm not. I don't want to be a one hit wonder. I want to make change people. I want to do my best and see my efforts bear fruit. I aspire to be a straight A student. Take note of aspire, it is likened to a dream that may or may not happen. Sighs... somebody help me out of this slump!
Well anyway, I'm not getting better but the summer movies are. I have already watched The Incredible Hulk, Prince Caspian, Kung Fu Panda and Wanted and surprisingly I liked all of them (well Prince failed my expectations and Kung Fu Panda was funnier than I expected, I gotta write a movie review about this!). Wanted was especially the MOST INTENSE non-horror film I have ever seen. And James McAvoy is now in my star list!! Ever since seeing him in Becoming Jane, I just knew that his guy is gonna MAKE IT BIG!! Haha! Anyway, my next attractions are Hancock, THE DARK KNIGHT, Hell Boy 2 AND MOST INFINITELY, WALL*E!!
OMG!! Did you guys read
themovieblog review about Wall*E??? If people are seriously considering this as the BEST PIXAR MOVIE ever and even managed to knocked The Incredibles and Finding Nemo and Ratatouille (my best films for pixar ever!!) out of the ball park, then WALL*E MUST BE FRIGGING GOOOD! A movie mostly without dialogue, a movie who soley uses visual animation literally to create a story, a movie about robots who have FEELINGS, is actually better than any of these talking masterpieces. If this is true, then i CANNOT WAIT FOR AUGUST 13!! I have no idea why SM or any other cinema here wasn't able to get rights (or whatever you call it, sorry am not exactly a lawyer type of person) to distribute it here the same time as US does!! I mean Wall*E is one of the most awaited movies of the year and they didn't bring it here on time!! Nor did they to Dark Knight. I think this is totally unfair making a fan (aku!!) wait for a movie for 2 months! I mean, no wonder piracy is so prevalent here. I am just soo maaaadd!! URGH!
Anyway... I'm still waiting for the other cool movies like the new James Bond film, REPO the musical and more!! EEEK! I can't wait!! hehee
Sighs.. better go back to the real world now and do my assignment. Sighs, oh college life!
Updates when I update! :cool =)

HISTORY:
I decided I'd make a history for my site so that you'd all know the whys and the hows. I will elaborate further when I have my REAL site one day. So when did this "addiction" start? Well it was many years ago (maybe not THAT many, about 2-3 years ago) when my keypal Kelli (HI KELLI!) told me to check out this thing. It turned out to be a xanga blog and I was intrigued but I wasn't interested in making one. After a year though, exactly on October 29, 2004, I came across Kelli's blog again and had a sudden itch to try it out. I signed up in xanga and wrote my very first entry. My URL was http://xanga.com/jynxypanda and it's still alive! Check it out if you want, I've transformed it into a photoblog of some sort. I started out with this PLAIN red and black template and of course, I eventually got bored with it. I then searched for skins both in createblog and blogskins. I was happy with xanga but then I saw Steph's new blog in blogger. I was amazed at her skills already in making layouts and HTML so I asked tips from her and then I started my blogger account. This was the time I started getting interested in HTML. Steph also referred to me Lissaexplains.com for tutorials and I researched on my own by reading this gigantic HTML manual at our house. I learned the basics and soon I was editing layouts. I wasn't much of a layout changer so Thief's Stolen Collections survived with only 2 premade layouts. Soon, I was getting BORED with premade layouts. I decided to practice my photoshop skills and make my own like Steph. At first, my layout was supposed to be a panda under cherry blossoms on a starry night EXCEPT the background image I used was copyrighted to kagaya.com only hence I wasn't able to use it. It was a beautiful layout for me though because I loved the violet colors and the panda. It took me a VERY LONG time to finish it but all my efforts proved to be in vain. The spark of making a layout vanished and was just recently revived. I was determined to make one and Winnie the Pooh came to my mind. Why Winnie the Pooh? I have no idea. Maybe it was because of him being a bear but anyways, Winnie the Pooh sounded good and voila!
PAST LAYOUTS
POOH'S PARADISE V.1
Born on: June 26, 2005
Well this was my very 1st layout so pardon for the childish image. It took me a very long time to think of what image to use. Winnie the Pooh just suddenly came to my mind and before I knew it, my hands were working on their own and this is the result! It lasted me for 5 months and I'm happy. =)
STARING UNDER THE SKY
Born on: Dec. 27, 2005
This is my 2nd layout featuring a vectorized (my first vector! Not too good..) bird (i'm not sure the species) on a branch staring under the velvet (violet) sky. When I was thinking of a new layout, I wanted it to have a touch of Christmas but not in the commercial way (gifts, lights etc). I wanted to show the true meaning of Christmas and I also wanted a layout that would last me for months (I'm a lazy bum.. hehe). Inspiration struck when our English teacher asked us to make a Korean Sijo (in English that is) and what i wrote about was a bird anticipating the birth of Christ. Though Christmas has gone, I still wish the feeling of Christmas will continue the whole year. This lasted me for a month (oMG 1 month lang?) but I may use it again. I really liked it! hehe
PINKISH BEAR REALITY
Given on: Jan. 4,2006
Added on: Jan. 27, 2006
This layout was a gift from my adorable online sister,
Ate Kitty! Isn't it beautiful? I was really surprised when she gave me this because I didn't know that anyone would go so much trouble for giving me a gift.. wahhz.. Love ya ate! :heart

URGH! lolz

:cool =)
