A Beginning, A Tribute

Before I start with my post, let me give an ALL WELCOME HUG TO ATE RAD!! She's back man!!! And as funny as ever! I'm so sorry also to my pals out there who I've neglected for a while.. I'll really try to visit! =)
Haahaaa!! Sorry guys! I just can't stop laughing! I'm crazy like that =)
I guess it's because it's been a doggone long time since I wrote. Oh the usual stuffs, school, oh and the fact that I'm already at MY FOURTH YEAR. I'm already 17, one of the heads of scouting now, assistant batch officer again and now class secretary. Next week will be our much anticipated retreat AND UP Entrance exams. GREAT. So much has changed, school, sections, friends and other stuffs that I don't even know where to begin. Did I tell you that I'm filling up my ATENEO and LA SALLE application forms as I type these? Well before I typed these pa la. Hahaa! Frankly I'm scared, I'm so scared of the responsibilities, of my future. I don't quite get the feeling of being one of the senior students in the school nor being 17. Am I suppose to be more mature? Be all-knowing? I feel so mediocre...
But anyways, I'm not here to gab about my life, I'm here to talk about someone else's for once. Someone who is most precious to me, someone I've grown up with. Well I'm proud/sad to say, I've finished Harry Potter.
NOT the "dead" kind of finished. Yep, at officially 8:55pm, July 25, (Wednesday), I have finished reading the last word in the 7th series of Harry Potter, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". I couldn't help but shed tears for this momentous occasion, I couldn't help feeling the weight of loss, and the end of something so great. 7 years I waited, and it only took 4 days of reading to end it. I did my rituals before finishing it though, I finished it in the toilet (oh go ahead and laugh..) - my haven for reading, I took a picture with it, and I dropped a tear on its pages. Harry Potter influenced me so much, if not Harry, then J.K. Rowling. I discovered him at 11, just as he discovered Hogwarts at 11, and we both parted together at 17. He has become a part of my childhood, a part of my teen years so I'll never forget him. It is good that these are books, for I can wish to read them at any time, but the feeling of reading it for the first time is different right? Well these rituals seem mad to you, but I just had to do them. I was so overcome with emotion, I had to let it out somehow. And now I'm at peace. I can now finally finish my Ateneo application form.
J.K. Rowling has outdone herself and ended the series with a BANG! This is definitely my favorite of the series, far better than the 6th or 5th or 4th book. Although the epilogue lacked some more information, all in all, what we have here is a beautiful end. Well thank you so much, Harry, and Rowling, I'll never forget how you changed my life.
Now as I set off to battle my own demons, in my own Hogwarts, I'm now more prepared to face the challenges set for me. It may be tough, but I'll always remember...

I first started to blog because of my keypal Kelly (where are ya Kelly?? miss you!). She introduced me to Xanga and then i made a bold switch to blogger and now I've been since 2005! heehe. I'm pretty sure that my future posts will be WAAAAY shorter now (probably as short as the last one) and there'd be less eye candy. Just check out my multiply for that one. The school year has started and I don't know whether to be ecstatic or feel dreadful. I know I've said (and changed my point of view now. hehe) last year that I felt that the atmosphere of my 3B class, weird and quiet. It felt like, I was never gonna get along with anyone, ever! But fortunately, it turned out to be one of the better years of my life! I've met different people with MORE different personalities and yep, we were able to mingle and become the best of friends!
I'm not too sure with my new section though.. I've met old faces again (hiya nick! hiya camz!--classmates uli tayo sa graduating class!) and too many new faces to understand for only a week. I really doo hooppe that something big happens like last year. Something that'd make everyone go, "GROUP HUG EVERYONE!" some time in the year. Can't wait for bonding sessions!! hahaa!
Yay Rocky won in the ring 1 dog show competition a while ago! Yay! He's got 11 pts left till he's a philippine champion! To think that he's just a baby --- 6 months old!
I'm liking and hating things. I hate the school's one org policy, I hate how that policy affects ALL the students especially the people who have passionate interests therefore joining multiple orgs and forced to just choose one! I hate that fact that I've been separated with my friends again. It's like my 3-year curse. Every after 3 years, I am always separated. I just don't know why. I hate that people think I'm older than my brother. Or those who think I'm a 20 year old. I hate that I'm hating a lot of things this time. DARN!! Brighten up tiff! I thought that you were supposed to be optimistic?
Oh dear, there i go with my eccentric ways again... talking to myself... great..
Oh and chairy chair chair's (that's my friend's nickname btw, and yep, I'm the only who calls her that. haha!) sent me the PSD FILE OF THE LAST BOOK OF THE HARRY POTTER SERIES! THE HIGHLY-ANTICIPATED, MOST AWAITED BOOK EVER IS NOW IN MY DOCUMENTS! I have no idea if this is genuine (most likely not) but in any case, I am not gonna read it! I just wanted to get the feeling that I got it before anyone else. Hehe. That's me! Weird =)
So now I'm contemplating my fate.... Lord please send me a sign... and I hope it hits me. Hits me REALL GOOD.... and HARD.....

Feeling bloaty....

Congrats rin pala sa mga nanalo sa Candy Blog Awards! Especially kay Joseph kasi grabe, ang ganda talaga ng mga photos mo and you deserved it! hehehee =)
Man, I feel soo bloated, what with all the food I've been stuffing in my mouth, I'm really getting "plumper"! Haha, bloated reminds me of my nickname that I used to use with my keypal Sara! Hehe, hope you're fine out there! Hahaha, we used to call each other names and i'd always sign of as bloaty the jynxed panda umbrella thief! Haha don't ask HOW that name came to be coz I kinda forgot too. haha. Well, I first celebrated my birthday by treating (along with Dandan and Juapao) my fellow JLts and staff to shabu shabu! Right after scouting grad, we carpooled to .... oops.. forgot the restaurant's name! Actually we didn't really plan for it to be shabu-shabu but, oh well! hahaha. Yumyum grabe! Now I now that scouts do have a GREAT appetite! (special mention sa 4 na mapapayat sa right end ng table. hahaha!) Picture picture!

Grabe, I realize that I always drone on about the importance of birthdays on my birthday every year so I'm making it different this year. I'll be totally random about it. So now I'm 17. Now I really REALLY feel OLD. Well doggoneit, I don't feel 17. Anyways, so I started my day by going to Drama Guild Workshop! Haha, ang boring lang kung sa bahay di ba? Haha and yep it was fun! I got to meet Louella, Jan, Marj again and the others! Yey! hehe and especially got to see Ms Ardiente and poke fun at her too! (and Val rin!) Next meeting of scouts with the elem heads for our services. Grabe, as the teachers said, ang loyal nga ng mga scouts! hehe. Next came syempre, the kainan! For some reason, my father thought that it would be funny to hold my birthday celebrations at Zuchini's but I decided that the waiters must be tired of old me already so we ate at Philippine Plaza! Their buffet is simply DEEVIINNEE! Thus this is the reason of my bloatiness now. It's been 2 days and I can still feel the after effects.. lolz! Thank you mom and dad for the wonderful treat!! *hugz*!
We've been taking in stray kitties last month! Well not exactly taking them in. Because we didn't know what to do with the leftovers of the workers at lunch, we decided to give them to these adorable kitties outside our house! Now they have these mountains of food everyday. I think they eat more than we do. Lolz! Cute aren't they? The female's preggy! Wish I could actually own one..

HISTORY:
I decided I'd make a history for my site so that you'd all know the whys and the hows. I will elaborate further when I have my REAL site one day. So when did this "addiction" start? Well it was many years ago (maybe not THAT many, about 2-3 years ago) when my keypal Kelli (HI KELLI!) told me to check out this thing. It turned out to be a xanga blog and I was intrigued but I wasn't interested in making one. After a year though, exactly on October 29, 2004, I came across Kelli's blog again and had a sudden itch to try it out. I signed up in xanga and wrote my very first entry. My URL was http://xanga.com/jynxypanda and it's still alive! Check it out if you want, I've transformed it into a photoblog of some sort. I started out with this PLAIN red and black template and of course, I eventually got bored with it. I then searched for skins both in createblog and blogskins. I was happy with xanga but then I saw Steph's new blog in blogger. I was amazed at her skills already in making layouts and HTML so I asked tips from her and then I started my blogger account. This was the time I started getting interested in HTML. Steph also referred to me Lissaexplains.com for tutorials and I researched on my own by reading this gigantic HTML manual at our house. I learned the basics and soon I was editing layouts. I wasn't much of a layout changer so Thief's Stolen Collections survived with only 2 premade layouts. Soon, I was getting BORED with premade layouts. I decided to practice my photoshop skills and make my own like Steph. At first, my layout was supposed to be a panda under cherry blossoms on a starry night EXCEPT the background image I used was copyrighted to kagaya.com only hence I wasn't able to use it. It was a beautiful layout for me though because I loved the violet colors and the panda. It took me a VERY LONG time to finish it but all my efforts proved to be in vain. The spark of making a layout vanished and was just recently revived. I was determined to make one and Winnie the Pooh came to my mind. Why Winnie the Pooh? I have no idea. Maybe it was because of him being a bear but anyways, Winnie the Pooh sounded good and voila!

Well this was my very 1st layout so pardon for the childish image. It took me a very long time to think of what image to use. Winnie the Pooh just suddenly came to my mind and before I knew it, my hands were working on their own and this is the result! It lasted me for 5 months and I'm happy. =)

Born on: Dec. 27, 2005
This is my 2nd layout featuring a vectorized (my first vector! Not too good..) bird (i'm not sure the species) on a branch staring under the velvet (violet) sky. When I was thinking of a new layout, I wanted it to have a touch of Christmas but not in the commercial way (gifts, lights etc). I wanted to show the true meaning of Christmas and I also wanted a layout that would last me for months (I'm a lazy bum.. hehe). Inspiration struck when our English teacher asked us to make a Korean Sijo (in English that is) and what i wrote about was a bird anticipating the birth of Christ. Though Christmas has gone, I still wish the feeling of Christmas will continue the whole year. This lasted me for a month (oMG 1 month lang?) but I may use it again. I really liked it! hehe
